In today’s busy world its not easy for people to separate out home from work issues and worries often spill over. As when people think about having counselling they are often scared to ask for help and it’s usually only after they have done all they can on their own and have reached desperation point when they contact me for help. This can be more so at work because they may feel scared for their job and /or don’t wish work colleagues to know.

You may only become aware because you notice a change in their attitude towards their work,  in their general mood or how they behave towards other colleagues.

When people feel safe to tell you about their difficulties because they know they will be understood and supported this is often half way to a solution for a problem that can otherwise get out of hand. Firms which do not have in house skills often misread and mishandle the situation. Either this leads to a disciplinary process or the organisation making a mistake and all the legal ramifications that can follow.

Business supervision offers your people an informal and confidential conversation with someone qualified, who can help them look at their difficulties and problem solve before they get out of hand. This time is not shared with the employer unless specifically requested to do so by the employee. This can be one to one or as a group.
