This type of counselling is suitable for almost everyone and provides an opportunity to resolve: personal, psychological, emotional or relationship difficulties, no matter how extreme or long standing.

Integrative Counselling is a safe and positive way to explore in depth, to identify unhelpful patterns of thinking, feeling and behaviour. Also to help you understand how links to current and past relationships contribute to your difficulties.

Some of our negative self- beliefs, longstanding difficulties, struggle to form relationships and inability to find answers for ourselves, stems from ways of coping formed in early life.

With a deeper understanding of yourself, clearing away the underlying causes and by exploring new ways of being, you can: work to achieve lasting change, freeing yourself from difficult feelings and leave able to cope and meet your future needs in healthy ways.

Whatever brings you, this approach often leads to, an increase in self-esteem, raised energy levels and greater confidence.

There are many unhelpful patterns. Yours will be unique to you. Some examples are:

  • When you live with a “mask, showing one face to the world and feel something else inside.
  • When you get stuck in difficult feelings such as: Anxiety, Anger, Depression, Fear and don’t understand why or what to do.
  • You find you can’t make decisions and tend to procrastinate.
  • You imagine others talk about you and think you are tolerated by others and not truly valued or wanted.
  • You look at others and they seem to have qualities you don’t have and appear to be able to act freely in ways that you could never
  • You tend to hide your feelings because you think you are weak if you show you are sad or need help.
  • Being a loner is a way of life, when in fact you want to be in a loving relationship and yet fear rejection and so take no action.
  • You seem to be invisible and tired and upset by meeting other people’s needs.
  • You keep repeating negative outcomes and find attracting and keeping relationships difficult.
  • You obsess or have unhealthy ways of coping.
