Helping people become the partner their relationship needs them to be
Clear understanding. A clear plan. Lasting change.
Hi, I'm Paul
Twenty-plus years ago I was struggling to make my relationship work. No matter what we tried, nothing seemed to last. It was a lonely and difficult time, living beside the person I’d chosen to spend my forever with.
My own experience of counselling inspired me to retrain as a psychotherapist and relationship therapist. For the past 15 years, I’ve worked with far too many couples whose relationships would have continued to struggle—or ended unnecessarily—because the right help wasn’t available.
Clear understanding and a clear plan
One of the things that came out of my own experience was The Framework—a way of working that makes therapy easy to understand and apply. You’ll have a clear plan and weekly guidance, both during our sessions and between them, so you can continue making progress at home.
A More Comprehensive Approach
One of the reasons my approach can often help, even when couples believe they’ve done all they can, is that I don’t just work on the relationship. Instead, I help each partner develop the understanding, knowledge and practical skills they need individually, as well as together.
Because every partner and every relationship is different, the work is tailored to what you each need.
By the end of our work together, you’ll each leave knowing how to create, maintain and protect a healthy relationship for years to come.
Working Together
I know change isn’t always easy. You’ll never be judged for finding it difficult or being emotional.
You’ll find me calm, friendly and easy to talk to. Behind that is a therapist who thinks deeply, takes the trust you place in me seriously, and is committed to helping you achieve the changes you want for yourselves.
Taking the Next Step
You shouldn’t have to pay before knowing I’m the right therapist and deciding whether you’d like to continue.
That’s why you’re always welcome to call with any questions. I’ll always be happy to give you my time. Or, if you prefer, you can arrange an initial meeting.
